All Inspire Health instructors are STOTT PILATES® trained and certified. Several instructors are also licensed physical therapists. Our customized approach focuses on delivering challenging, precise and fun STOTT PILATES® sessions that will empower you to achieve your personal fitness and life goals.
Sara Baker MS, PT, OCS
STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructor
Sara is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in Cellular Biology and received her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1999. After experiencing the effects of pilates exercise in her own body, Sara became interested in incorporating pilates exercise into her own physical therapy practice. After taking a mat course designed for healthcare professionals in 2002, she continued her training with STOTT PILATES® in Toronto, Ontario, and Charlotte,NC. Sara is a certified STOTT PILATES® instructor and has completed all Level 1 coursework.
Sara immediately recognized the value of STOTT PILATES® training in her physical therapy practice and appreciated the wide range of clients she could effectively treat and condition. With the encouragement of Dr. Regis Haid of Atlanta Brain and Spine Care, Sara opened Inspire Health in 2005.
In addition to STOTT PILATES® instruction for clients with orthopedic and neurological conditions,Sara offers her physical therapy services utilizing osteopathic manual therapy, strain-counterstrain techniques, and neurodynamic approaches.
Sara has been featured on Atlanta's Fox 5 HealthWatch, contributed articles to the Better Health section of the AJC since 2006 and to SpineUniverse, an online resource for spine health.
Linea FitzGerald MPT, OCS
STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructor
Linea received a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Sports Studies from Miami University in 1999 and a Masters degree in Physical Therapy from Emory University in 2002. Linea's previous experience teaching dance and aerobics classes and appreciation for the importance of quality fitness instruction led her interest in pilates. Linea has completed her STOTT PILATES® level 1 training for mat and reformer.
Since 2002 Linea has been utilizing an eclectic approach to address a client's specific needs. Because of her experience in both rehabilitation and wellness settings, Linea is able to work with clients across a wide spectrum of health and fitness to achieve their individual goals.
Linea specializes in manual therapy for the spine and extremities and offers her physical therapy services at Inspire Health in addition to STOTT PILATES® instruction for fitness and sport enhancement. She has completed all the Manual Therapy Certification courses through the University of St. Augustine.
Laura Hicks
STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructor
STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructor Trainer
Laura is a STOTT PILATES® certified Instructor Trainer for Mat and Reformer and a Level 2 certified STOTT PILATES® instructor. In addition to seeing clients for instruction, Laura teaches the STOTT PILATES® curriculum and manages the STOTT PILATES® certification program at Inspire Health.
As a professional dancer Laura brings a fresh perspective to workouts. Her training and real-world experience in dance provide her with an exceptional understanding of the body, alignment, and movement. This allows her to construct a workout that is custom-fit to each individual. Laura truly enjoys training clients, from beginners, to advanced athletes. Her fulfillment comes from helping clients reach their fitness and wellness goals.
Laura has danced professionally throughout California, and is currently performing with North Atlanta Dance Theater. She is also an instructor for the Atlanta Ballet adult division. Since 2007 Laura has appeared frequently in the AJC's Better Health Section, providing Good Form workouts.
Sâmia Pellizzari
STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructor
STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructor Trainer
Born in Minas Gerais, Brazil, Samia moved to New York in 1995 after graduating from UNICAMP University in São Paulo with a BA in Dance. While studying at UNICAMP, Ms. Pellizzari was the recipient of the Grand Prize for Choreography at the Rio de Janeiro Dance Competition and received Second Honors at the São Paulo dance competition. In New York, Ms. Pellizzari trained at Alvin Ailey, Steps On Broadway and Broadway Dance Center. She has performed with dance companies, industrials and some Musicals such as "West Side Story", and the European tour of "Grease".
Samia fell in love with Pilates while rehabilitating a knee injury. She then decided to pursue Pilates as a career. She started teaching at the Pilates Center of New York where she also received her STOTT PILATES® Level 2 Certification.
Samia has instructed STOTT PILATES® since 2002 in New York, New Jersey, Austria and California. Her vast experience with dance and a wide variety of clients has made her well-rounded instructor. Samia is fluent in Spanish, English and Portuguese.
Elizebeth Ellison
STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructor
STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructor Trainer
Elizebeth, a former competitive gymnast, became an ACE certified personal trainer in 1994. She and her husband started Total Fitness, a personal training company in Destin, Florida which they sold in 1999 before moving to Atlanta, GA. Her father, looking to improve his golf game, introduced her to STOTT PILATES®. Intrigued by the STOTT PILATES® contemporary method, she began taking classes and certification courses, integrating personal training and STOTT PILATES® to offer a more diverse and well balance workout for her clients. Combining her passion for teaching and for inspiring well being in others, Elizebeth fully focused her movement background into STOTT PILATES® training in 2004.
Elizebeth holds a BA degree from Tulane University. She is a fully Certified STOTT PILATES® Instructor and has been a STOTT PILATES® Instructor Trainer since 2008. She also holds the following additional certifications; Lifestyle and Weight Management Consultant since 2003, a NSCA Personal Trainer since 2003, and a certified ACE Personal Trainer since 1994. She was a volunteer Coach for Girls on the Run of Atlanta from 2002 to 2008, and currently works with Buckhead Gymnastics supplementing their conditioning programs. Elizebeth was honored in 2010 by being named the International Instructor Trainer of the Year by STOTT PILATES®.
